
Sorina Gajewski is a freelance screenwriter and director for fiction and documentary films.
In her material Sorina mostly negotiates political issues about feminism and social injustice.
Currently she is working on her second feature film script SPIRIT DIVINE which she developed at the HerArts Lab and the Torino Next Feature Lab.
She also shot the second season of the drama series HUNGRY (ZDF Neo/Arte) which has its TV release in Autum 2026.
In summer 2023 she shot her first feature length fiction film NULPEN (ENG: SLACKERS) which premiered at the Max Ophüls Price Filmfestival, got a Special Mention for Best Script at Achtung Berlin Filmfestival and won Best Script at the Goldener Spatz Filmfestival. SLACKERS had its cinema release in June 2026.
In 2022 she received funding from the BKM for the documentary First Taste, which was nominated for the Talent Award at DOK Munich in 2023 and won the UN prize of the FAO in Rome in 2024.
After studying screenwriting at the film school CIEVYC in Buenos Aires (2015-2018), she studied directing at the dffb from 2018 - 2026. She also works as a photographer, first assistant director and author for audible books.
